Canada Nature Escapes Website header - find yourself in nature

Chose one of the following Ranch/Cultural Experiences.....

Banjos and Bison… Need we say more?

Free roaming bison in the Prince Albert National Park
Combine this true North American safari on the Wild West side of Prince Albert National Park with your choice of two of Canada’s most popular music festivals! In addition to the free-range bison you will almost certainly see, you will also be inspired in the same way the many musicians and artisans are that find their way to Ness Creek every year!

Take a ride on the amazing Wild West side of Prince Albert National Park in Saskatchewan. You will see Canada’s only free-ranging herd of plains bison which still lives within its historic range, visit rare fescue prairie grass islands surrounded by dense forest, and enjoy beautiful vistas along several rivers, streams, lakes and valleys. The experience begins when you arrive at Sturgeon River Ranch on the morning of Day 1. Spend a bit of time getting to know your guide and your horse before heading out on the trail! We will spend the next 5 hours riding around the bison range. In addition to the bison, we may also encounter elk, moose, wolves, bear and countless other critters that call this wonderful area home.

Interior of the retro Shasta RV

At the end of the day, its time to head to Ness Creek, where your Retro RV awaits! By Retro, we mean a beautiful 1992 Airstream or a shiny brand new Shasta, both fully equipped, including a fridge full of food!

Wake up on Day 2 to music everywhere! And spend the next few days enjoying it! The 4 day Ness Creek Music Festival is world famous for its feel and musical taste, while the 3 day Northern Lights Bluegrass and Old Tyme Music Festival offers the best acoustic music around. Enjoy VIP treatment at the Festival, including a Back Stage Pass! Whether you are listening to the incredible mainstage performers or jamming at a campfire, you will never forget your time at Ness!

After the Music Festival, your final day brings you back to Sturgeon River Ranch for another day of riding the West Side Wilderness. Allow the inspiration that’s surrounded you for the past few days to take root as you view nature from a whole new perspective!
