Just imagine: two days and one night on the trail 'under canvas' – a winter adventure that will amaze you and build lasting memories! You'll spend two days learning to run a dog team under the expert care of your guide and host from Sundogs Dogsled Excursions, while exploring Saskatchewan's edge of the largest forest region in Canada.

This marvellous winter get-away starts when you arrive at Saskatoon’s Diefenbaker Airport, pick up your well-appointed rental car, and check into the Hilton Garden Inn downtown. It’s time to relax from your flight; your are in the heart of Saskatoon’s downtown restaurant district, so catch a great meal and maybe even take in a show or one of the many concerts and plays that Saskatoon’s vibrant cultural scene offers.

The next day you will take a leisurely drive up to the Land of the Loon Resort by the south east corner of Prince Albert National Park. Remember, it’s wintertime in Saskatchewan, so leave lots of time for your drive, which will be along well-kept highways even in winter conditions. You might want to have lunch in Prince Albert; Amy’s Restaurant is a local favourite, and it’s along your route on the right-hand side of the highway through the city.

Your northern experience begins and ends in solid comfort at Land of the Loon Resort, where you will check into a cozy handcrafted log chalet by the shore of Anglin Lake near the south-east corner of Prince Albert National Park. Your room is your own for three nights, so you don’t have to check in on return from your overnight stay on the trail. And of course, you will have a great three-course meal tonight as you prepare for tomorrow morning.
